Proverbs Post #17-\"\"<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Today I was reading in chapter 10, and verse 4 popped out to me today.\u00a0 It says:<\/span><\/p>\n

10:4<\/strong> The one who is lazy becomes poor,<\/span><\/address>\n
but the one who works diligently becomes wealthy.<\/span><\/address>\n
<\/address>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This is another outstanding verse for parents!\u00a0 “The one who is lazy becomes poor,” is a great picture for kids.\u00a0 Do your kids seem to have trouble helping you with chores but then have unlimited energy to go out and play?\u00a0 Motivation plays a huge role in kid’s laziness.<\/span><\/p>\n

I believe “The one who works diligently” understands the results of work.\u00a0 Very few of us work just because we “like it,” rather because of our need or desire.\u00a0 I would encourage you to not only reward work but also to give consequences for incomplete or unfinished work.<\/span><\/p>\n

None of us desire our children to live in our homes until they are 35 years old.\u00a0 Therefore, we must teach responsibility for our actions.\u00a0 Kids will continue to be lazy if we allow them to.<\/span><\/p>\n

Do you work diligently?<\/span><\/p>\n

I want to challenge you to take up reading the Proverb of the day and the entire chapter as well.\u00a0 Lord, please help each one of us to keep our focus on things above and not the things of this earth.\u00a0 Amen.<\/span><\/p>\n
